Show Up and Pay Attention
This concept of “Show Up and Pay Attention” is from Wayne Dyer’s movie: “Ambition to Meaning”. A movie that inspires and nurtures the shift in us to move towards having deeper meaning in our lives and feeling our connection to our Higher Power. Deepest gratitude to Wayne Dyer for his work.

Answering the Call
Within the day to day illusion, there is a deep calling
For me it was… create… create…
Will I answer this call?
My Soul waits in silence for my relinquishment of doubt
My chaotic, destructive, fearful self continuously points out there…
'See this?'… 'See this?' These things need your attention.
No time for listening and creating
You need to DO first
The struggles continues day and night
The chaos and fear grows
The restlessness gets stronger
The call gets louder
Who am I?
Why am I here?
Speak God!
I am.
I surrender."
~*~ Angel Heart Reiki
When there is discontent in our lives there is usually a “calling”. Something deep inside us is calling our attention. Is it to create, to go somewhere, to call someone, to let go of something, to forgive someone, to meditate, to eat differently, to tell someone we love them, to show someone you love them, to spend time alone, to spend time with someone, to clean something, to throw something out, to declutter, to paint, to read, to write, to walk, to visit nature, to tell the truth, to pray.
What is calling you?
This calling may seem unimportant or we don’t have time right now and say to ourselves that soon we’ll answer the call. The thing is that if we don’t listen to this call and LOOK at it, contemplate it, and honor it with our attention, no problem, it will get louder and show up in more places in our lives until the day that we can’t ignore it any longer.
If we honor the calling with our attention we may gain peace of mind, we may gain insight into finding more meaning in our lives, we may find out some important information on what your higher self wants to tell you, you may gain insight into what you ultimately want to accomplish or experience in life.
Isn’t it worth answering the call? One way is sit quietly and turn your attention to that feeling, that inner guidance and to God….the rest will be shown to you.

Healing - We are made to Self-Correct
“There is a Higher-Self Matrix that is a direct connection to the Source that each and every of us has. We are directly connected to the Source. Remember this and never forget; you save, redeem and heal yourself. You always have, you always will. You were created with the power to do so from before the beginning of the world. In that intent I realized even more. I realized that we have already been saved, and we saved ourselves because we were designed to self-correct like the rest of God’s Universe.”
Quote by Patricia Diane Cota-Robles (http://eraofpeace.org/) <-highly recommended website!
Self-correct. We are made to self-correct. What an interesting concept. In other words given some time, our bodies know how to heal themselves and restore us to balance. So what is the secret? How do we allow our bodies to heal and self-correct? I don’t think it is a straightforward one size fits all answer. Here are some thoughts:
What stands in our way between our health issues and the ability to self-correct?
Is it an indication that we need to let go…let go of worry, anger, or fear….leading to forgiveness?
Is it a calling to put our attention on our role and responsibilities in our problems...to stop denying our feelings and blaming others but instead owning our power and acting with full presence in the now?
Is it because we are so focused on what we don’t want and the fear of the dis-ease. Having “resistance” to what “is” and a trying to escape and avoid pain?
Is it a need to focus our attention on more joy in our lives, more fun, more laughter, more appreciation, more meaning, more love, focusing our attention on more positive emotions and not on all that is not working in our lives?
Is it because of always being somewhere else, either in “our story” of the past or in the “someday, when we reach over there, we’ll be happy” and not living completely in the NOW, not fully present in this moment which causes us to be weakened and not having enough energy to self correct?
Is it a calling for us to be of service to others or find deeper meaning in our lives?
Which ones resonate with you?
Taking a condensed look again:
*Forgive and Let Go
*Taking responsibility for my role, owning my power
*Not focusing on the problem and the fear
*But focusing on the positive, on love, laughter and on having appreciation
*Being in the NOW and not leaving parts of myself everywhere but here. Get into present time to recoup your energy and allow your body to have enough life force to self-correct
These things will allow us to let go of what blocks us and opens us up to the healing energy of God that runs through us to help us to self-correct and restore us to balance.

The Human Computer
Here is another quote from The Inner Journey (http://www.higherawareness.com/) that has got me thinking:
"Everything -- absolutely everything -- that happens in our lives has a spiritual cause. Events on all other levels -- mental, emotional and physical -- are only effects.
When we are struggling with any challenge, whether it be ill health, a lack of money, a lost job, relationships, an accident, whatever -- we need to look for the spiritual learning. We can ask ourselves, "What quality does my soul want me to live more fully?"
Everything? Really? That is such a hard concept for us to grasp because we are not taught in our societies, families and schools about all the underlying work that occurs behind our everyday reality. What if life can be compared to computer programming: It’s like our lives are the finished product. What we see everyday is the final draft, our front screen. When we see words and buttons on a computer screen we may think they are just words and the buttons are some magical things that somehow move us to other screens and somehow the data is captured. But really we have no clue on how things change and reformat. So we just follow along and do our part in typing/reacting to what we see on the screen, trusting that somehow the computer will work correctly in a predictable way. But a computer programmer knows that there is a whole world of ‘behind the scenes’ work that goes into getting the final front page. There are imbedded instructions, programs and hardware that govern what you will see on your computer screen. And you know if you have learned the language you can make the computer screen show and do anything you want. And you know there are no unimportant errors. If you put a space or a period in the wrong place, or miss-spell something, your program may not work. Everything decision, every connection, every keystroke counts in your final product. If you don’t see what you want in your front screen then you just go back in and change the code or check the hardware. No judgment goes into whether the computer is bad or good, it is just following your instructions. You just change your instructions and see if you get your desired effect. But if you don’t know the program or anything about computers, then you don’t have control over what you see and you just have to follow along with what’s already there. You may even say how much you hate this computer or how the computer is out to get you and mess up your work and you blame the computer. But really you have no control to change it…because you don’t know how.
What if life is that way too? What if there are universal laws that govern our reality and experiences in life? What if there are layers of cause and effect that create our “this day”? What if everything you thought and did had a subtle effect on this day: every little decision, every physical action, every intention, every word spoken, every fearful or loving thought, every perception of your life had an effect on what showed up in your awareness. If we’re not aware of them, then ‘YES’ we are not in control of our reality and must just react and do damage control on what happens everyday. But if we learn the instructions of life then we can realize the connection between what is going on inside us and what happens outside us.

It’s time to Bloom!
"For all those years you’ve protected the seed. It’s time to become the beautiful flower."
Yes, there is no denying that we are among some unique times on earth. A feeling of water boiling comes to mind. As if the Universe is asking us to pick sides, middle ground is becoming scarce. Do we pick the side of fear, separateness, scarcity and dread OR do we pick the feeling of Oneness; where one must consciously choose to stay positive, in hope, faith, with love and compassion for all people? “We Are One” is showing itself more every day and it is getting more and more uncomfortable to live in the space of fear.
It is time to Bloom! It is time to look inside ourselves for answers, for joy, for peace, for connection to Spirit. It has become evident that we cannot change everything and everyone around us, and trying to will exhaust our energy and leave us feeling disappointed, angry and afraid. All we can change is our perception. They say all that we need we have inside us. It’s time to look. When we find joy and peace inside, it doesn’t matter who and what is around us, and the kicker is the outside will eventually change to vibrate with what we are living inside us.
We are all beautiful beings full of love, and the more we become our authentic selves the more we will bloom with Joy. As we let our hearts grow we will feel the connection that exists between us all and we will not want to ever be in that place of suffering again. When we let go of suffering and really KNOW ourselves, we will want everyone to feel the Love and Grace we feel. That is when we will reach out with our hearts…BANG! we will KNOW our oneness!
"You wander from room to room
Hunting for the diamond necklace
That is already around your neck!"
-- Jalal-Uddin Rumi
So the journey is:
Know you ARE LOVE (knowing with your mind)
Look inside for answers (connecting with your heart and FEEL the love inside us)
Mind and Heart connect and we express ourselves authentically
and we reach out in Loving ACTION
" Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed.
Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love,
grace, and gratitude."
-- Denis Waitley
First Step:
Sit quietly
Focus on your heart
Feel gratitude for all the things you are thankful for in your life
Let that feeling of gratitude and Love grow and expand in your heart
Ask for whatever you want help with
Give thanks for the answer
Let it go with trust and faith that the answer will show itself to you
That’s it!
As the Cracker Jack Box says:
“Look Inside!!! For the PRIZE”
